How we verify tuition

Daycare prices are a hidden market: most centers don't publish them, so parents call around one by one. TinyTuition exists to fix that — but only with numbers we can stand behind.

Every figure is date-stamped

Each tuition rate on this site shows Verified [Month Year] and names its source: the center's own website or a director we spoke with. A dated figure is honest even as it ages; an undated figure is a promise we can't keep. We never claim real-time — we claim recently verified.

Re-verified every year

Rates change, usually around the school year. We run a full re-verification sweep each summer so the whole dataset stays within about twelve months of fresh.

Corrections are reviewed, never automatic

Spot a rate that's out of date? Every listing accepts correction reports. A human reviews each one before anything changes — nothing on this site updates itself.

Centers keep their own listings current

Centers with featured listings maintain their own rates, because wrong numbers cost them tours. The freshness burden sits with the party that has the incentive to get it right.

What we will never do

• Publish an estimated or guessed tuition.
• Show a number without its verified date and source.
• Rank centers on numbers we can't source.
